Wedding Wishes - Color Throwdown #544

Hi, everyone!  It's time for a brand new  Color Throwdown challenge!  Our generic colors this week are Coral, Aqua, and Navy.

~

~

So I really wanted to do a beachy card with these great colors, but I needed another wedding card.  And the Bouquet stamp from Rubbernecker was the perfect image for it.

~

~  

I love how it turned out!  The awesome sentiment is from the Rubbernecker Best Wishes stamp set.  I cut both of the layers using the Nested Rectangle Stitch dies.

Power Poppy Bowl of Beauty - a new digi release

~

Hello, all! It’s time for a brand new Instant Garden digital stamp release from Power Poppy.

~

~

Here is what the incredible artist, Marcy, had to say about this fabulous image:

The fourth installment of our Café au Lait bowl bouquets is filled with some of my very favorite plants: Hellebores, Ferns, and a luxurious Tree Peony with stems of Spanish Bluebells. Of course I had to call it Bowl of Beauty, because I know that anyone coloring this one will bring forth beautiful results. A polka-dotted vintage bowl can be done in so many sweet ways to complement the flowers.

~

I decided to use the image without the bowl for a bridal shower card, and I went with fresh, pale Spring colors.

~

~

I printed the “no-line” image on X-Press It cardstock and colored it with my Copic markers.  I used a delicate pink May Arts ribbon (EA17 4/8” x 50 y) and some enamel dots in the same pale colors as accents.

Hey, y’all, and happy Wednesday!  Lisa has some beautiful colors for us for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.

What a great combo!  Perfect for a wedding card, don’t ya think?  I do!

I water colored the Mondo Hydrangea from the Essentials by Ellen line using Distress inks, and I used a retired PTI sentiment set.  It’s a simple card, but I love the fresh spring colors!

It's a Wedding Blog Hop!!

Anyone who is a lover of flowers and floral images knows who Marcella Hawley is … the fabulous artist behind all of the wonderful Power Poppy images.  She’s a ball of fire, a lover of life, a (soon-to-be) master gardener, a generous and loving friend, a cool Mom, and Saturday she will become a new wife!

I used the Forget Me Not Heart image and a Sweet Simple Things sentiment and loosely watercolored the image with Distress inks.  I added some gems and splatters to create a “sweet simple” card.

Happily Ever After - Color Throwdown #396

Hey, everyone, and happy Hump Day!!

It’s time for another awesome color combo from the Color Throwdown and I bet y’all are just as excited as I am!  I love this combo of Peach, Raspberry, Plum and White from Lisa:

I was in need of a wedding card this past weekend and I thought these colors would work wonderfully!  So here’s what I came up with:

~

Of course the background is water colored!  I used my Distress inks in Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet.  I used the same inks to stamp the feather.  The sentiment was stamped in Brilliance Gold ink and also heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  To finish off the card I splattered it with Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine.

FTTC217 - Wedding Wishes

Hi, all!  Are you ready for the latest edition of the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge?  Today, Deborah is our super-talented hostess and she's asking us to make a Wedding card or project.  It's definitely a great time of the year for that!

~

~

I decided to go with a classic wedding bouquet type of image from the Roses Are Red stamp set.  What a gorgeous image it is!  I stamped it on a thin journal page in Versafine Onyx black ink and colored it with Copic markers.  Then I cut it out with my Floral Oval die set. 

~

~

My background layer, as well as my card base, is made from Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I stamped the background layer with the love sentiment block from the Just My Type stamp set, using Versamark ink.  Then I clear embossed it.  You can just catch glimpses of all the special little love phrases around the edges of the oval.

I added an eggshell seam binding bow and tied my sentiment from the Orchids stamp set to the bow with a piece of ivory jute.  The sentiment was cut out using a leaf from the Foliage Spellbinders die set.

I wanted just a touch of shimmer so I added a very thin line of glitter glue around the edge of the oval.
