As much as I’ve tried to deny it, Autumn has indeed descended on the South. It’s still quite warm during the day, but the leaves are changing colors and the pool water has chilled significantly. Sigh. Summer, I sure will miss you.
I guess it’s time to celebrate the new season, and the Color Throwdown has just the color palette to do that! Vickie is our hostess and she’s chosen this beautiful cake as our inspiration:

The base colors are red, orange, green and brown.
Embracing the inevitable, I’ve pulled out an old SU stamp set called Autumn Splendor to use. I stamped the leaves and acorns on some Mixed Media paper and watercolored using my Real Brush Clean Color pens. And yes I really did fussy cut every last one of them!
I have to apologize for my picture. My camera has decided it doesn't want to auto-focus any more and these old eyes don't do so well either.

The background was made by smooshing using some Shabby Shutters and some Crushed Olive inks. The layout is from this weeks Paper Players PP#264:
