Scenic Route - Color Throwdown #715

Happy Wednesday again!  Today is the day for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge!  Our color palette this week is all about Fall - Orange, Green, and White.

I went with the Fall theme and pulled out an older Rubbernecker die set for my card.  I don't believe this set is available any more but I've linked a newer set below in the linky list that is even better!!  I've paired it with a beautiful Sizzix 3D Botanical embossed background for added texture.

Be Awesome Today - Color Throwdown #700

~

Hello!  Can you believe that we have arrived at hosting our 700th Color Throwdown challenge??!!  Pretty awesome, huh?  What's even harder to believe is that I've been on the team for that long!!!  Y'all must be really tired of me by now!!! (I hope not!)

Here are the colors for this week:  Yellow, Orange, Kraft, and Brown.

I really do love this combo even if I had to think long and hard about how to use it!  Finally I came up with an idea using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Funky Cactus dies, along with the Ellen Hutson A2 Piercing Plate and Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills.  Everything came together nicely when I topped it off with the Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker.  A birthday card for the best son-in-law ever because he's awesome every day!

I'm so glad he loved it too!

Big Wishes - Color Throwdown #692

Hi, everyone!  It's time for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge and you're going to love this color palette - Lilac, Pink, White, and Gold.

How gorgeous!!

I adore those butterflies, and immediately pulled out my Rubbernecker Fluttering Butterflies dies, some ink, and some vellum.  And this is what I came up with...

I flicked gold all over the card and outlined each butterfly, as well as the water colored panel, in gold.

~

Big Butterfly Wishes - Color Throwdown #644

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today for the Color Throwdown challenge, we have a fun and bright color combo: Yellow, Black, Gray, and White.

Isn't that a great inspiration photo?  

I decided to use butterflies....the beautiful Rubbernecker ones!

They are water colored and popped up over an alcohol ink background.  I used my Copic air brush to stylize it.

I needed another birthday card and decided to watercolor some poppies as the focal image on my card.  I used the Rubbernecker Layered Poppies stamp set and die.  I also used the Wishes Die cut, the Nested Rectangles dies, and the Happy Birthday stamp set.

Cat with Blanket - Color Throwdown #586

Happy Wednesday, y'all!  Are you ready for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge?  Today Lisa is our hostess and the generic colors she's chosen are Pink, Purple, and White.  It's a great color combo!

I spotted the latest CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and knew I wanted to play along, so this is what I came up with:

I used a circle die to cut a stencil, then used my TE Blender Brushes and some Distress ink to make the row of circles. Then I needed a smaller image and this cat dragging his little blankie was the perfect size.  It's a retired image from Rubbernecker Stamps.  I also used the Rubbernecker Happy Birthday stamp set for the sentiment.
