Hi, everyone!

This is my last week as Guest Designer for the lovely ladies at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog!  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and want to thank Barbara again for inviting me!

The challenge this week - C4C288 - is to USE YOUR IDEAL VACATION SPOT AS YOUR INSPIRATION.  That’s pretty much a no-brainer for me!  I’m always planning my next trip to the beach!

So I chose to use the At the Sea With Sister image from A Day For Daisies, that I absolutely love.

I water colored the image and die cut it using a Stitched Rectangles die.  I popped it up on some foam mounting tape and tied on some twine and I was done.

Yep!  That’s where I’d most like to be right now!

Seriously!

Hi, y’all!  This week for the Crazy 4 Challenges weekly fun, Barbara has us using GREEN.  She said that since May’s birthstone is emerald, our project should strongly feature the color green.

My card is one that I made for my oldest grandson’s 15th birthday.  I still can’t believe he’s already that old!!  He got his driving permit already too.  Oh Lord!

The card front was water colored using Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters.  I stamped the fan and sentiment from the Technique Tuesday set called Fan-tastic in Versafine onyx ink.

The Seriously die cut (from Lil’ Inker Designs) was cut from black cardstock twice and then glued together.  Then I coated the word with Glossy Accents and let it dry completely before attaching it to the card front. 

Inside I added the sentiment “I’m your no. 1 fan!”

Your Hard Work ls Paying Off!

Hello everyone!!  Happy weekend!!

I’m back today for my third week as Guest Designer over at the super fun Crazy 4 Challenges blog!  Barbara is our hostess this month and this week’s she’s given us a great sketch to create with!

I needed a card for someone who recently started a brand new chapter in his professional life and thought this would be a great sketch to use.  I also recently got the Lunchbox Love stamp set and this sentiment with it’s quirky font seemed like the  perfect one to use.

My background was created using a couple of different Distress inks and some watercolor paper.  The yellow star was die cut from the same background that I used for my little super kid.

Teacher Appreciation

Hi, everyone!

I’m back today for my second week as Guest Designer at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog! 

This week Barbara has asked us to make a teacher appreciation card and to actually use it!  I don’t have any kids still in school, so I made 2 very similar cards that my 2 younger grandchildren can give to their teachers.  I hope the kids and the teachers like them!

The only stamping I did was the notebook paper looking panel and the sentiment.  There are several die cut pieces and some embossed ones as well.  Lots of visual interest.

Lucky Me!

Happy weekend, y’all!

I’m beyond thrilled to let you know that my sweet friend Barbara Anders has invited me to be the guest designer over at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog for the month of May!!    How fun!  Of course I said yes!!

Barbara is the hostess this month and since May is Healthy Vision Month in the US, she’s asking us to celebrate!  Our projects should have something related to vision or eyes on it.

So…. I pulled out this small wooden glasses frame that I got at Michael’s a while back and smooshed it onto my Archival Jet Black ink pad.  Then I coated it with Versamark and clear embossed it twice to get a nice thick, even shine.  And of course I had to add rhinestones to the temples!

I spritzed my card base with some Dylusions Bubblegum Pink ink spray, stamped my fabulous sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen set called Fancy Thanks, then added some washi tape and some enamel stickers.  Done!
