Happy Friday!

I have another birthday card to show you today using some of Ellen Hutson's new summer products.

~

I wanted to make something super fun and playful, so I used one of the solid background shapes from the Organic Elements stamp set to create the rainbow of colors, then added several images stamped randomly in black from the same set.  The sentiment is from the Good Day set Both of these were released in June.

Live in the Sunshine

Hello, friends.  I know I don't usually post on days other than Wednesday, but I've made a few birthday cards lately and would like to share them with you.

Today's card is one for a dear friend who loves the beach/ocean/seashore as much as I do!  So a mermaid-esque card seems appropriate!

And I just love the colors so I know she will too!

I used the Scrapbook.com Scallop stencil and some of the Catherine Pooler Life of the Party mini ink set, along with my Taylored Expressions Blender brushes to create the mermaid look.  The sentiment is from the Technique Tuesday Bring on the Sun stamp set.

So that's my birthday card of the day!  I'll have another for you tomorrow and one on Saturday too!

Star Filled Birthday - Color Throwdown #654

Hello and welcome to Wednesday!  Time for the newest Color Throwdown challenge!  We have a muted, but very pretty combo for you this week:  White, Kraft, Grey

I decided to go with a masculine card in these colors, using Papertrey Ink products. (Listed below except for the smaller sentiment which is from a retired set.) I also used the star theme from the inspiration photo.

Oh. Em. Gee. - Color Throwdown #653

Hi there!  It's time for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge and I'm the hostess this week.  I chose some bright, happy colors for us to play with ... Pink, Orange, Yellow, and Green!

Isn't that a beautiful cake?!  I wonder if it tastes as good as it looks!

Today I'm using some of the new products from the Essentials by Ellen collection from Ellen Hutson LLC.  I have really had a blast playing with these!  Here's my latest creation.

~

A fun card for a teenage girl's birthday! I used the Good Day and It's All Good stamp sets, and the Essential Arches dies to create the steep hill.  Now that looks like fun!

I ink blended the arches while holding them together with some Press N Seal.

Vodka - Color Throwdown #652

Time for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge!  This week's colors are so fun - Turquoise, Blue, Green, and Kraft.

And what a beautiful seaside inspiration photo!

But...I needed a birthday card for my son-in-law, and this just happened to be the perfect card for him. 😋

~

~

I used 2 retired Papertrey Ink stamp sets - Friendship Jar Fillers and Friendship Jar Summer Fillers - along with the perfect sentiment from the stamp set with the same name, This Could Be Vodka, from The Cat's Pajamas.

I stamped everything but the jar in colors and did a tiny bit of Copic coloring for the liquid.  I used some washi tape to ground the scene. A simple and fun card!

Good Day Sunshine - Color Throwdown #650

Welcome to Wednesday, y'all!  Today we have a brand new color combo for everyone to play with at the Color Throwdown blog: Yellow, Gray, Black, and White.

I was in need of a masculine birthday card, and you know this palette is just perfect for that!  And I just had to use the new (to me) Organic Elements stamp set along with a great sentiment from the Good Day stamp set, both from Ellen Hutson. The sun is from the Abstract Sunset die set.

I also added a little bit of Star Dust Stickles for some real "shine"!

Hello Beautiful - Color Throwdown #647

Time for another brand new Color Throwdown challenge!  This week our colors are Red, Green, Kraft, and Pink.

I decided to go with a floral card this week, so I pulled out the Mondo Sakura from Ellen Hutson.

I love this image!  And I think the colors worked perfectly with it!  This will be going to a dear, beautiful 95 year old lady on her birthday later this month!

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another new Color Throwdown challenge.  This week our colors are Light Gray, Aqua, and Navy.

I believe this calls for a summer-themed masculine birthday card!  And it just so happens that I needed a card for my oldest grandson who just turned 21!  Whoop!

I used the super fun S'Whale stamp set and dies from Ellen Hutson LLC.  I water colored the whale and used the Memory Box Waves 3D embossing folder for the background.

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today for the Color Throwdown challenge, we have a fun and bright color combo: Yellow, Black, Gray, and White.

I decided to use butterflies....the beautiful Rubbernecker ones!

They are water colored and popped up over an alcohol ink background.  I used my Copic air brush to stylize it.
