Abstract Flower Birthday - Color Throwdown #607

Hello, and happy Wednesday to you all!  We have a brand new Color Throwdown challenge starting today and this week our generic colors are Purple, Yellow, and Blue.

I wanted to use my new Alex Syberia digital image Abstract Flower so I used these colors for a floral image.  Weird, but it  was fun!  And I really couldn't think of anything else to do with the colors!

I bet you've never seen flowers in these colors!  Me either, but they are kind of cool.  I colored them loosely with my Copic markers adding lots of dot shading.

Pretty Cactus - Color Throwdown #606

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Are you ready to see what the latest Color Throwdown color combo is?  This week our generic colors are Aqua, Peach, and Kraft.

I was lucky enough to be a winner in the Alex Syberia Designs Instagram giveaway recently, and the very first digital image that I chose was the Pretty Cactus.  I think it's so beautiful and I'm sure that Nicoletta Porcu's gorgeous creation was what sold me on it!!

So here is what I did with it and the color palette for this week:

I did very loose watercoloring and then hand cut the image to mount on the embossed kraft card base.
