Prayers - Color Throwdown #699

Hey, y'all!  This week's Color Throwdown challenge has a simple but beautiful color combo for us to play with: Blue, Purple, and White.

I needed a sympathy and a get well card this week, so I created both using the same floral dies and these colors.

I love the pop of color with all the white.

~

Hello There Sunshine - Color Throwdown #698

Hello there, Sunshine!  That's my theme today for the Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors this week are fabulous: Red, Pink, Yellow, and Green!

Do you happen to remember my card from last week?  Well, I used the negative of the water colored pink sentiment die cut for my main background this week.

~

~

I added some yellow textured cardstock behind the HELLO, topping the "O" with a popped up circle and surrounding it with gold embossed sunshine rays.  I also added the stamped word SUNSHINE beneath the cut out sentiment.  The die cut girl in her cute convertible was colored with Copics and popped up on the green grassy slope.  Two cards from one water colored panel! Hello There Watercolor - Color Throwdown #697

Hello there!  This week's Color Throwdown challenge has a bold and beautiful color combo: Orange, Pink, and Aqua.  I love this combo!

And here is my card:

The embossed Concentric Doodle was all water colored and "smooshed", then cut out and mounted on foam tape to the card front.  I added some foam confetti pieces to the background panel and popped up the water colored Bold Text #1 sentiment on fun foam.

~

~

I have to tell you that this piece reminds me so much of the Broadway at the Beach (Myrtle Beach SC) ferris wheel that lights up with constantly changing colors!

Sprinkle Kindness Daily - Color Throwdown #696

Hello, everyone!  It's time for the brand new Color Throwdown challenge!  The colors this week are Kraft, Cream, and Green.

~

~

What a beautiful and simple combo!  I love it!

I already had the background panel for my card on my desk...it just happened to be one of this week's colors so I went with it.  I had used an old Cuttlebug Leafy Branch embossing folder and brayered some green inks onto one side before running it through the Big Shot.

~

~

The layers of the flower were die cut, ink blended for shading and layered using foam tape.  The Picket Fence Fancy Daily sentiment is one of my favorites!

Focus - Color Throwdown #695

Hey, everybody!  Are you ready for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge?  I am!!  This week our colors are Green, Blue, Lavender, and Silver or Gold.

I always think of these colors as being the colors of water, so.....

~

~

I used the Memory Box Waves 3D folder on wet watercolor paper to get a deep impression.  When it dried, I rewet it and painted the waves randomly with the 3 colors.  Then I painted on a bit of Distress Mica Stain in Brushed Pewter.  I cut the sentiment using a Sizzix-Tim Holtz Bold Text #1 die with silver paper and fun foam and layered them for dimension.
