Birthday Rainbow - Color Throwdown #693

Hi there, y'all!  I'm hosting this week's Color Throwdown challenge and I'm excited to share my card with you today.  Here are the colors I've chosen - Aqua, Lime Green, and Navy.

I'm excited to show you my card because for the first time in a long time I made a mixed media card, using both acrylic paints and dye ink.

~

It was really fairly simple, and so much fun! 

First I stenciled the rainbow using a screenprint stencil from Hobby Lobby with the acrylic paints and Distress ink (links in supply list at the bottom of this post).

Next I die cut the Bold Text #1 sentiment from 3 different colors of cardstock and layered them.

~

~

After separating the text die cuts and attaching them to the front and inside of the card, I added star dust stickles to them.

~

~

 

~
