Just Ducky - Color Throwdown #582

Well, y'all, it's Wednesday again and time for another brand new Color Throwdown challenge.  Just look at the gorgeous inspiration photo we've got for you this week.  The generic colors are Hot Pink, Aqua, Kraft, White.

I sure wish I was there!!

I needed a get well card for my granddaughter and I thought she would get a kick out of the duck and the "punny" sentiment from the On The Farm stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink.

~

~

The die cuts are from the Silver Linings die set from Ellen Hutson LLC.

I used my new Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes to add more color to the "ground".  I just love those things!!

Power Poppy Strong and Beautiful

Good Friday morning, everyone! 

I wanted to share a birthday card that I made for a friend using the Power Poppy Strong and Beautiful stamp set.

~

~

I used the single flower and the fern frond images to stamp around the oval that would be die cut later.  The flowers were stamped in Antique Linen.  After I water colored them and let them dry, I stamped them again in gray ink for more definition.

~

~

The ovals were die cut in the water colored panel and also in the card front, so the sentiment oval is actually attached to the inside of the card.

Do any of you remember when we used Distress inks to dye our own white seam binding to match/coordinate with our cards?  Well, that's what I did here.  And I still love how it looks!

~

You Are Pretty Amazing - Color Throwdown #581

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another fun Color Throwdown challenge!  This week our colors are Gray, Lime, Purple, and Fuschia.  What fun!

I used the Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbird Thanks stamp set along with one of the sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp You Matter stamp set to make a birthday card for my sister.

~

You can't really tell that the sentiment is heat embossed in that photo so here is another photo from an angle.

~

Fun!  I love keeping the boldest colors contained in a small space!

Time to Fly - Color Throwdown #580

Happy Wednesday, y'all!  I hope your week has started off well!  Today we have a brand new Color Throwdown challenge for you!  Our generic colors are Purple, Green, and Gray.

I've used a gorgeous digital image from Power Poppy called Time to Fly for my card.

~

~

The sentiment is from the Season's Seatings stamp set, also from Power Poppy.  I think it works perfectly with this image!

I was a little concerned if I would be able to pull off such a complicated image using only 3 colors, but I think it actually has more of an impact that way.  What do you think?

Hello, everyone!  It's time for a new Color Throwdown challenge and this color combo is really beautiful - Dark Blue, Light Blue, Pink, and White.
