Layered Christmas Poppy - Color Throwdown #522

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for the latest Color Throwdown challenge!  Our fearless leader, Barbara, has a great combination that’s perfect for a Christmas card – Salmon, Red, Green, and Gray.

So that’s what I made – a Christmas card with an unconventional image!

I used Layered Poppy and the Most Wonderful sentiment from Rubbernecker Stamps for my card.  The Layered Poppy is a two-step stamp so it’s super easy to stamp.  I added a little bit darker red with a watercolor brush to the flowers, then splattered the red across the layer.  I thought the randomly placed red and green sequins added a more festive seasonal touch.

You totally pulled off your "unconventional" Christmas card! Who would have imagined poppies could look so festive without being in Santa's hand? Exceptional use of sequins and way to pull in the gray that didn't take away from your coloring and smart sentiment selection. And your staging for this photo rocks!
