Party Dog! - Color Throwdown #518

Happy Wednesday!  Are you ready for the latest Color Throwdown challenge?  This week our hostess Lynn has a beautiful Autumn color combo for us to play with: Slate Blue, Orange, Brown, and White.

What a great combo!

I chose to make an Autumn inspired birthday card using the adorable Party Dog stamp set from Rubbernecker, along with the Fall Leaves Stack Die Cut set.

I water colored the background, and I colored the cute little dog with my Copic markers.  I die cut the leaves and water colored them, then I used a brown pen to draw the veins.  The dog and the leaves are popped up on foam mounting tape.  The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday stamp set.

Have you been hanging around in my yard?? All of the leaves this year look just like yours! My sky has been a lot more gray, though. No, I am sure if you had been in my yard, you would have pounded on the door and asked for the bathroom and a beer and a blanket, so I think you're just channeling me as I'm raking, mowing and blowing them away. Cute Card! Wonderful coloring! Like the embossing folder ground. Happy November !

Ha! I love this card! The party dog is so cute and I had to go look. I absolutely need to place a RN order when I get a little more caught up... maybe after Christmas. So fun the way you turned it into a fall card just by adding the leaves. Brilliant!
