Believe in the Magic - Color Throwdown #519

Happy Hump Day!!  It’s time for the latest Color Throwdown challenge!  Vickie is our hostess this week and she’s chosen one of my favorite Christmas color combos for us to play with: Red, Aqua, and Silver.

So of course I made a Christmas card using the awesome Polar Bears stamp set from Rubbernecker Stamps.

I also used the Magic of the Season sentiment and Watercolor Forest stamps for my winter scene.

This could easily be a one-layer card.  I stamped the bears, then the sentiment, on water color paper.  I water colored the sky using Distress inks.  Then, when that was dry, I masked the bears and stamped the Watercolor Forest for my background.  I shaded the bears and colored the scarf with my Copic markers. I also added some stars in the sky using a silver gel pen and some Star Dust Stickles.

Your Stars!! And, no, it couldn't be a one layer card because you'd lose that lovely silver "path" and how would you tie your yarn & bell on? Your little touches take it over the top. Darling bears and you're doing that amazing shading again. Great photo of your card, too. Looking and feeling a lot like December around here, so I guess I better get cracking on my holiday cards -- ACK!
