As much as I’ve been trying to fight it, it seems that Autumn is upon us. It’s October and although we have a couple of more days of 80+ degree weather coming up this week here on the lower East coast, after that the highs will be in the 70s for a while. I can live with that.
At the Power Poppy shop and the Power Poppy blog Autumn is in full swing and you just won’t believe the awesomeness of the latest digital stamp set called Painting Pumpkins!
~
There are 3 sets of pumpkins and 4 separate sentiments making this one of the most versatile Autumn sets around!
This is what Marcy says about the set:
Painted pumpkins — whether given a coat of chalky milk paint in pastel hues, a bold dip with metallic accents, or delicate dots with a fine-tipped brush — are all the rage. Now you can paint the pumpkins in real life AND in your papercrafting process. In this arrangement I have several pumpkins primed for your special creative touches. Paint pots and brushes await your artwork on the "blank canvas" version, or use one of my pre-drawn patterns or jack-o-lantern faces. A series of 4 sentiments ranging from a general Thank You through Halloween and Thanksgiving allows multiple uses for this fresh fall imagery.
I just had to go for the decorative painted pumpkins and decided they needed to be painted in chalk paint.

Love, love, love this image! And now I want to decorate my dining room table to look just like this! Don’t you??

I can't wait to color them again in this version! Gosh, it's so perfect that you watercolored them, and in such a beautiful palette. We're about 10 degrees cooler than you, but loving the beautiful weather. I'll take 70s and no wind any day! Last night was such a beautiful walk. I love fall! I'm happy to be on this team with you, Broni!

Broni, what a gorgeous card, and I love that you used chalk paint for these darling pumpkins! I almost went with this version because I love the patterns on the pumpkins! I love the colors you've used and also love the frame with the multi-colors and with the ribbon! Beautifully done, sweet friend! We are still in the mid-80 and enjoying beautiful sunny weather with a lovely breeze. But that's normal for us this time of year. I know you are looking forward to cooler temps. Hope you are all starting to get back to some kind of normalcy after the storms. Hugs! xoxo

You just turned MY notion of autumn on its head! And you watercolored with the Oxides!! This is sure fresh and pretty. And, let's face it, You totally rock at shading and shadows. What a great way to start my day. Up here the words "frost" and "freeze" are making regular appearances in my weather forecasts. It helps to have the beauty of your creative genius to warm my world.
