Thinking of You - Color Throwdown #480

Hello, everyone!  It’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown challenge!  This week our lovely teammate Wanda has a beautiful combo of Spring colors for us to play with: Lilac, Green, Gray, and White.

Gotta love beautiful flowers when it seems like winter’s been here forever!

Sadly I needed a few sympathy cards this week, so I used our color palette to create one of them.

I used Distress inks Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to create the watercolor background.  Then I stamped the Layered Doilies image from Technique Junkies in SU Orchid Opulence.  (I still LOVE that color!)  The sentiment and heart are from the SSS Thoughtful Messages stamp set and are stamped in Versafine Smokey Gray.

So sorry you are needing sympathy cards. Isn't it funny how some colors just appeal to us no matter what? Mowed Lawn is screaming love at me right now and it might just be the notion of the task. I still love Orchid Opulence, too! It sure is a perfect match with the color swatch. I'm sorry about your need for sympathy cards. This one lets a person know you're thinking of them, but it has a way of sending a little sunshine along with those thoughts.
