Hey, y’all! Things are changing a little at Power Poppy this year. Each month there will be a “Color Story”.
January's is "Rosé All Day" — featuring flowers that are naturally reds, pinks, and whites.
~
The bouquet features Roses, Redbud branches (Cercis canadensis), Cyclamen hederifolium, a Fern frond (for contrast) along with "ivy-leaved Cyclamen" leaves - they are quite dramatic. There are also a few paint brushes and a colored pencil, along with a ladybug and bumblebees.
Each month we'll introduce a new Color Story, whether it's monochromatic or playing with various shades, that will help folks learn more about working with values of the same color. And, as Marcy likes to say, they can always go rogue and color the thing however they see fit!
Rosé All Day will be available Jan 15th in the Power Poppy Shop. And January 15th begins a new edition of Kathy Racoosin’s The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge. So go grab this gorgeous image and color it up!
Here’s what I did with mine:

I haven’t had a chance to make it into a card yet. For now I’ll just keep it on my desktop and think about how it makes me happy!!
Please head over to the Power Poppy blog for a list of all the Design team members who have some awesome coloring for your inspiration!
Thanks for dropping by!

SUMMER! I need to set a 15th alarm or something -- or maybe I should just confess you were likely trumped by t!m... yep, totally side tracked by the Creatavation sneak peeks last week. This is just gorgeous and you are the perfect artist to showcase color. Maybe instead of cards, you should consider framing it (and the beauties to follow) and making wall art?
