Happy Wednesday to you all! Are you ready for a brilliantly fun new Color Throwdown challenge! I absolutely love this simple, yet striking combo that Jodi came up with for us this week!

What a fun pillow! I was totally drawn to the purple sky/clouds with the lightning, so I tried to recreate them for my card.
~

I pulled a branch from a very old (retired) stamp set to use as my lightning. I stamped it in Versamark and white embossed it a couple of times before using a cloud die cut to sponge on the purple sky with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. The adorable little witchy cat is from the Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 2 stamp set, as is the cute little treat bag.
I used the SSS Stitched Rectangles dies to cut a frame in the front of the card base. I inserted the sponged watercolor paper into the frame adhering it to the inside of the card.

Well done with your lightening and clouds! You are pretty darn amazing at coloring with a sponge, too. Not being inspired by this one -- sponging usually earns me a gray hair and the opportunity to turn the calendar page when I go to scrub my hands. Happy rest of your week!
