Hello, everyone! The Instant Gardeners are honored to be able to present the newest Power Poppy Instant Garden release of Graceful Still Life. So beautiful!
~
From our creative genius, Marcella Hawley:
To me, the most relaxing scenes are composed of elements that feel familiar, with touches of nature, style, and beauty. My home is composed of little still lifes - arranged on shelves, tabletops, windowsills, and basically anything that is not moving. This springtime still life is similar to what I'd set up in my living room: a Susie Cooper teapot filled with fresh-cut roses and trimmed branches of flowering dogwood, piled on top of a stack of decorative books (the books have to have cool-looking spines with great colors or nice typography, or they will not make the cut). Completing the scene, a straw hat with a millinery rose and berries, to suggest we've just come inside from gardening. But who knows if we have? Maybe we've just been sitting here, coloring up this still life.
I love the combination of dogwood branches and roses!! I felt like the roses needed to POP boldly and that’s why I chose bright purple for them.

Thanks bunches for dropping by! Enjoy the rest of your week, folks!!
Oh, Broni!! This is GORGEOUS, and the colors are stunning...and you're right that the pop of color in your roses is perfection! You are a master with the ZIG markers, and I think I need a lesson or two! Ha! Truly a gorgeous layout with the color wash in the background and how you've done an out-of-the-box effect as well. I love it! Hugs, sweet friend!

I'm ready for spring, and you've really got me in the mood, now! Love the color of those roses in combination with your background. Gorgeous watercoloring and pretty card design, Broni!

Wow, this is stunning Broni! Your coloring is amazing! I've always admired Power Poppy, maybe I'll finally figure out what to do with a digi stamp. BTW, may I ask where you purchased your Copic marker storage? Those would work perfectly for me. Thanks!

GORGEOUS!! You do such a fantastic job of coloring. It's a fabulous image. Really like how you hung the blossoms off of the left edge. Like that you only rounded 2 corners and used a polka dot ribbon. I'll try not to be tardy to the party in the future. Life should not interfere with gawking and spouting off at Beachy's Place.
