Hello and welcome to another week of the Color Throwdown! Vickie is our super fun hostess this week and her color combo is so bright and cheerful: Orange, Teal, and Black! They look so great together!
~
I needed a birthday card for a male coworker and since I immediately thought of an orange sunset when I saw these colors, I just went with it!
~
I taped my new Tim Holtz Mini Stencil 21 tree stencil on top of white cardstock on my craft sheet with painter’s tape and created the sun through the trees using a large sponge dauber and Carved Pumpkin ink. Then I added in the Peacock Feathers sky.
I cut down the panel and popped it up on top of my card base, which has a strip of black cardstock and a partial strip of black & white washi tape. I added the Enjoy die cut, one lone sequin, and called it done.
Now it’s your turn to create using these colors! Link up at the CTD blog on today’s post. And be sure to check out all the inspiration from the DT here:

Thank you so much for dropping by!
now that I see this is for a male co-worker, I guess I won't be getting it, but I still LOVE it and it's still a beautiful card!

You dropped a sequin on your man card! This is super striking! Great stencil, sponging (you even cool beautifully with a dauber!) and "enjoy". I probably should have seen this before I made Mr Wonderul's Valentine in pink with frills and pearls. The only thing he's gonna like is that it obviously wasn't the dreaded "10 minute card"! Happy Friday!!
