Can you believe we’re starting a brand new year? I’m praying that 2017 is a very happy and productive year for all of us! I’m ready for it!
So are you ready to start off the year right with a brand new Color Throwdown challenge? Amy Rohl is our hostess this week and here is her inspiration photo:
~
Her color choices of black, hot pink, and green are marvelous!
It’s been a very long time since I’ve used black as a main color on a card, but I felt the bright tropical leaves would really pop on a black background.
~
I used the super cool PTI Tropics stamps and dies along with some PTI Limeade Ice cardstock and ink. I also dotted some of my new Key Lime Nuvo Jewel Drops everywhere!!
Won’t you start off the new year with us? Simply create a paper crafted item using our generic color combo and add a direct link to your creation to this week’s post over on the CTD blog. We can’t wait to see what you create!
Check out what the CTD gals have up their sleeves for your inspiration!

Thank you so very much for beginning 2017 with me! I wish you much love and happiness, and many blessings!
I've heard there are black sand beaches... Fun and Tropical card! Jewel Drops? Ooooh! they look really nice sprinkled on with sequins. Pink sentiment wedge is very eye catching. If this is any indication, your fans are in for another exceptionally inspiring year and I'll have lots to spout off about ;). Happy, Healthy, Creative 2017!

I am so ready to think "tropics" while the snow is flurrying around us today! Gorgeous take on the colors!

Wow! You're up to your usual fantastic-ness, I see! LOVE the bright colors on black with the tropical leaves and sprinkles. The sentiment wedge has a kinda retro look. Cool! Happy 2017, Broni!

Wow, love how the colors pop. And the design feels quite contemporary and folkloric at the same time. Looks fab!
