Happy Wednesday, people! We had the most beautiful, warm weekend here in the South and it seems to be continuing throughout the week with highs in the 60s. Yay!
It’s time for another wonderful color palette from the team at the Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess and here are the colors she’s chosen from her inspiration photo: Grey, Red, Kraft.
~
I love these colors together!
I wanted to use my new This Could Be Vodka stamp set from The Cat’s Pajamas. It’s awesome and perfect for a birthday card for my nephew!
~
I stamped the image directly onto my card base and colored it with my Copic markers, adding some white gel pen highlights. I stamped the sentiment and added a strip of adhesive ribbon under it.
For the “tabletop” I used some washi tape. I taped it across the bottom of the image and traced the image through it, then removed it and cut the shape of the cup out. Then I just added it back and used the same black pen to line the tabletop. I also added some sequins as a finishing touch.
This is a one-layer card that I’ll be entering into this challenge:
Less is More challenge: One layer - Favorite Drink/Beverage theme
We hope you’ll join us for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. You can get all the challenge details over at the CTD blog. Basically just use our generic colors for a paper-crafted project and give us a direct link at the bottom of our blog post today.

I love this card, so fun and the sentiment really made me laugh! The washi tape looks great, and what a good idea to cut the shape of the teacup to fit the two elements together. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

Hahahahaha! With enough vodka you might see a kitty in your tea cup. A girlfriend's mom used to take her vodka in a coffee cup. Not funny, but this card reminds me of her. Super cute, Broni!
