Hello and happy Wednesday, y’all!
Today I’m sharing a card I made using a freshly-released beautiful digital image from Power Poppy called Ruffled Wild Orchids.
~
According to Marcella Hawley (the creative genius):
Known as the Queen of Orchids, Cattleyas put on quite a display with their showy ruffles and gorgeous rainbow hues. With an almost unlimited array of color combinations at your fingertips, you will have a great time being your own Orchid hybridizer, mixing and matching to your heart’s content!
I am in love! To say that Orchids are one of my favorites is an understatement. My Dad raised Orchids many, many moons ago and even hybridized a couple of his own. One is named after me! Imagine that! What an honor!

The beautiful image was colored with my Copic markers and I highlighted the scripty Wildly with a BG13 marker. The card based was embossed with the Reverse Confetti All Framed Up die plate. I threw in a few sequins for some sparkle!
This is also my card for this week’s Color Throwdown. Lori is our hostess and here is her soft palette of colors – Mint Green, Pink, and Aqua:
~
Please stop by to visit with the Power Poppy designers to see their inspiring creations and with the CTD girls to see how creatively they used these awesome colors!

I just found out that my card qualifies for the Anything Goes challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog, so I'm entering it!!
Thank you so much for dropping by today!
How cool is that to have an orchid hybrid named after you Broni!? This design you created has a dreamy colour palette! That aqua blue to set off the pink is amazing!

Broni, what a GORGEOUS orchid, and I absolutely love these colors together! Such amazing coloring and a real "pop" with the hot pink. Beautiful layout and lovely addition of the sequins. And how very cool to have an orchid hybrid named after you...such a precious thing for your dad to do!! Hugs!

You got one of them there Broni Orchids hanging out at the beach???? That just blows me away that your Dad did hybridizing AND he named one for YOU! OH, Pretty card! Your coloring always impresses me, especially when you jazz it up with sequins. Off to pack some of my art stuff -- going to a little retreat on Friday after work. Will I laugh more or make more cards?

Oh, my! Beautiful! Love the shading to set off your beautiful pink, and the sequins add a touch of magic. Your dad sounds like a pretty special guy. I just bought my second orchid because the first (received as a retirement gift from a friend) was so successful.

My favorite in the gallery! What a stunning card!! I never ventured into growing orchids but inherited a moth orchid from my daughter that she rescued on a clearance table years ago. That thing has bloomed over and over...even under my watch - lol!
