Whoa! Can you believe we’re up to our 400th challenge? And I don’t believe I’ve missed more than a few of them! This wonderful challenge blog always keeps me motivated to create. Our team is and has always been full of fabulous designers and just downright great people. They are true friends and I’m proud to be in their midst.
Now on to #400! Wanda is our fantastic hostess this week and she’s chosen a basic and super fun color combo for us: Red, Green and White!
~
I wanted to create a cheerful birthday card, but I was a little short on time this week. So I tried to keep it simple!

I “poofed” a little Lime Green Color Burst onto my craft sheet then misted it with water. I used the confetti stamp from the PTI Good Times stamp set and pressed it into the color on the craft sheet and then onto both the top and bottom of my watercolor paper. I let it dry thoroughly then die cut it with Stitched rectangles die and popped that up onto my white card base. Then I added the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die cut and some sequins. Done!
Here’s another card I made because I didn’t want to waste all that lovely lime green that was still on the craft sheet! I just love all the various hues of green!

Now it’s your turn to play along with us! Details are here - Color Throwdown blog.
Check out all the beautiful creations from the design team!

Broni, I love this. Not only do your colors match perfectly but it seems your pattern with the green matches the bedspread. XOXO

Wow, that is such a cool technique and leaves such a wonderful variegated look to the colors! Love it!

Bright and FUN! Just like my vacation, only it's got no sequins ;).

Oooooh, I love them both! Red, green, and white are all such fabulously contrasting colors and make for a very cheerful card. Your technique is awesome! Have I mentioned how I love lime green? Well, I do!
