This is the second week of the month, so over at The Challenge we’re playing with colors! Here’s the inspiration photo:

I just love this combo!
I needed a birthday card for a male coworker so I tried to keep my card cheerful and not too fancy!
~
I followed Laura Bassen’s lead on THIS CARD to create the stenciled, sponged balloons and die cut sentiment. I added the stamped “sparkles” and then hand drew the balloon strings. It was added to a panel of plaid paper to help with the masculine look.
We hope you’ll play along with us this week. This is such a great color combo to work with!
Be sure to check out the beautiful creations from the rest of the design team:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great week!
This card is so lovely, and that plaid definitely gives it a masculine vibe!

Hello, Sunshine! I may have been created to create, but everything seems to be hogging my artsy time lately. You're doing just fantastic without me spouting off, which is a huge relief. I'd hate to think that you just went and flounced down on a beach somewhere. Your balloons are PERFECTION!!! Very excellent man card. The plaid sends it over the top. Hope your Mother's Day was as beautiful as you are and that you're off to a good week.

Do you ever NOT make a fantastic card? Love this so much, and it works great for a guy, but I would be plenty happy with it, as well.
