Hello, Sunshine Fishes - The Challenge #67

Hey, y’all!

It’s Monday and the first one of the new month. 

Can you believe it’s April already?!  I love Spring…mostly because it leads us into summer!  And if you know me, I bet you knew I was going to say that! 

Since this is the first Monday of the month, we have a sketch to play with at The Challenge.

Isn’t that cool?

I took a little creative liberty with the sketch, using darker colors in place of the panel that shows on top of the card base.  Here’s how it turned out.

These darling fish, called Fish Group, are from Rubbernecker and they come on one piece of rubber.  After I stamped and colored them on a piece of watercolor paper, I fussy cut them to separate them for use as the 3 star elements in the sketch.

I used the PTI Waves stencil to emboss the background panel before I water colored it with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Then I used my Kuretake Zig Clean Color pens for the fish.  The sentiment is from the MFT Polynesian Paradise stamp set and the clear sequins serve as bubbles.

Clever Girl! Like the clear sequins as bubbles. Pretty coloring and that sentiment is awesome. I'm big on greeting the sun whenever I'm lucky enough to see it. Rubbernecker, huh? I do not need to go shopping, but you do have a way of making me gawk at new stuff.
