Hey there, people!
It’s time for a new edition of the Color Throwdown! Y’all blew me away with all of your awesome entries last week! Let’s see what you do with these great colors:
~
Isn’t that a FUN combo? I thought so!
I wanted to keep the lavender as a soft background so this is what I came up with.
~
I inked up part of an Ikat background stamp in Shaded Lilac ink, misted it with water, and stamped it on a piece of watercolor paper. When that dried, I placed it in my Misti and colored my solid flower image from Watercolor Poppies with a couple of different Tombow Dual Brush markers, misted and stamped it onto the panel. I let it dry, then I did the same with the leaves/stems on the same stamp using green markers. When the entire piece was dry, I stamped the outline and the sentiment each separately with Versafine onyx ink.
I love the doodled, watercolored look of this image! And that’s why I’m entering it into the CASology: Week #189: Doodle challenge:
~
Now let’s see what you do with the Color Throwdown colors! Head on over to the CTD blog to get all the details and then visit with the CTD girls to see their fabulous creations:
