~
Yay! It’s time for another Color Throwdown challenge! I just love the colors that Joan picked out for us to play with.
~
They remind me of Spring! Even though we haven’t really experienced very cold weather yet here in the South, if it’s not hot outside, I’m not happy!
~
I water colored the beautiful Layered Poppies from Rubbernecker with some Distress inks. I love the green background in the inspiration photo, so I masked my poppies and sponged some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn inks through my Dot Fade stencil. Then I added some sponging along the right side of the water color panel too.
The card base is dove gray and the one strip down the left side is a darker gray wrapped in some woodgrain washi tape.
The sentiment is from the Technique Tuesday Simply You stamp set.
We hope you’ll play along! I always love seeing your creations! Link up at today’s post on the Color Throwdown blog, then take a moment to leave some love for the rest of the design team here:

Bright & happy colors with a sweet sentiment to boot! You achieved a beautiful background and the sequins add just the right amount of bling ~K

You created a beautiful card with what I consider a tough color combination Broni.

Squeeee! LOVE those poppies, Broni! (I've had those on my wish list for awhile!) Beautiful card! (Hey, quit you're "it's not hot" whining! Here in Ohio, it's 9 degrees!)

Holy crow! My jaw is on the floor again with this beauty! Pinning this one and trying to convince myself I don't need another poppy image - lol!

I'm seriously developing a love for abstractly stamped flowers and this definitely is one reason! Love this to pieces!!
