A Partridge in a Pear Tree from Power Poppy

Hello, friends!  Can you believe it’s already November 15th?  Where has this year gone?

Luckily since it’s the 15th that means there’s another awesome digital image available from Power Poppy!  And since it’s almost time to celebrate the Christmas season, it’s fitting that this month we have a beautiful Partridge in a Pear Tree.  I love it!

Here’s how I colored it up and used it on a Christmas card:

I printed the image on some mixed media paper and painted it with my Kuretake Zig Clean Color pens.   I also painted a second image of the partridge itself to pop up over the base image to give it some more dimension.

I had removed the sentiment from the vase by using the eraser tool in PS Elements.  Then I printed the sentiment from the Ranunculus set from July onto a sheet of vellum and used it in front of the vase.
