Hello there, everyone! Well, it’s FINALLY NOT raining here in South Carolina. Please keep all of the people affected by the nasty, endless rain we’ve had in your prayers. It’s truly a huge mess!
On a brighter note, today is Wednesday and time for the latest Color Throwdown challenge! Yay! Wanda is our hostess and she’s chosen a subdued and soft color palette.
~
I chose to make a mixed media card today. Don’t know why. Maybe it was the soft colors of light green, light yellow and ivory.
~
I used an old Unity Stamp Company image that I love and stamped it in Antique Linen Distress ink onto my mixed media paper. I also stamped another Unity image (the wavy lines) randomly around the card front after masking my pear.
I colored my pear with my Kuretake Real Brush Clean Color pens and then masked it again to add the Studio 490 white embossing paste. When that was dry I sponged on some Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. I also used the gold ink to sponge around the entire edge of the card front.
~
I stamped my sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Fancy Thanks set in Archival Coffee ink, then added the sequins, and I was done!
I’m entering this into this month’s Virginia’s View #19 challenge – All Things Colored.

FANTASTIC design, Broni! The coloring on the pear is awesome, and I love the embossed dots in the background.

Why, oh why, do you do this to me? And to my pocketbook?? Adding that pretty coffee ink to the want list. VERY pretty pear! I am contemplating your stamping the image in antique linen distress ink -- Neato! Love your coloring, the sequins and your fun background. SO happy you are no longer getting rained on. Almost the weekend and I'm hoping you have some bright sun and drying breezes!
