Hello there! It’s time for a new edition of the Color Throwdown challenge!
This week Lori is our hostess and she’s chosen this unique photo inspiring us with colors of orange, pink, green, and black.
~
My colors are a little bolder than hers but still the same colors. I watercolored some Layered Poppies using Distress Worn Lipstick ink and Color Bursts in Orange, Lemon Yellow and Pthalo Green.
~
I watched Dave’s video at the Rubbernecker website on the Layered Poppy Set page before I started because I wanted to be sure I used the Color Bursts the same way he did on these flowers. His ended up with more vibrant pops of the colors, but I’ll keep trying until I can achieve the same affect.
Now it’s your turn to play along with us! You just have to use the basic stated colors and submit your directly-linked entry on today’s post at the Color Throwdown blog.
Check out all the beautiful inspiration from the CTD girls too:

"love"! I have NO idea why you think you need to keep trying when this is so beautiful. I could be clueless or blinded by the strategically placed sequins or knocked senseless from swattin' skeeters, but I'm thinking this is darn near perfect. Happy 3/5 down and 2/5 to go!
