Yes, it’s never too early to start on your Valentine cards. This was finally determined around Christmas Eve Eve when there were not nearly enough Christmas cards to go around. So I’ve started. On my Valentine cards. This is the first one…using this week’s new Color Throwdown challenge. Tammy’s the hostess and she picked a whopper of a combo. I struggled with this one, for sure. (Thanks so much, Tammy!)

The colors look great together, but I just couldn’t decide how to put them together for my card. So this is what I ended up with. I think it was the yellow that threw me off!

What’s that you say? You don’t think someone would appreciate receiving a Valentine card that says “Seriously, you stink”?? In non-Valentine colors? Read the fine print! This is such a great silly stamp set from Lil’ Inker Designs! I think I’ll use it for the majority of my Valentine cards. I know the grandkids will get some giggles from a card like this!
It may be a little hard to see in the photo, but I used one of the Stitched Rectangle dies to impress my patterned paper layers. It looks pretty darn cool IRL!!
And I've used this week's Sketch Saturday #343 layout:

Now be sure to check out what the rest of the Color Throwdown gals have come up with! And please take some time to join us this week for the challenge! I want to see how you use this combo!!
Also don't forget this week's Guest Star Stamper, Cassie Trask!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Please check back in tomorrow! I have a big announcement!!! Eep!!
Seriously...this card ROCKS my world! LOVE the layout, the "seriously" die cut and the papers! LOVE!

Seriously?! It's so pretty. Love the papers and the die-cit word. The sweet little flower looks wonderful on the circle tag.

You did REALLY well with making these colors into a Valentine. You get perfect marks for folllowing the sketch, making me laugh and that awesome "seriously". I am becoming quite fond of your script-y word dies (love the shadow offset on this one). I am wondering if you're going to cause me to purchase something else so that my cards look even better because I've added "The Broni Touch"??! Off to think about where I can stamp some sequins!

Yep...lovin' it!! Perfectly fun sentiment...thinking the yellow works with the "stink" sentiment but, not sure why at the moment... Sounds like me, right! Love this lil inker set!

ADORABLE card, Broni! Love what you did with the sketch and the creation of a Valentine card in non-traditional colors! Thanks for playing along with us at Sketch Saturday. Hugs, Cathy xx
