Hello there, everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Let's get right to our Color Throwdown challenge of the week. Joan is our uber-talented hostess and here's her inspiration photo and color palette:
~
I really love that quilt, but decided to go a little simpler today… a flower and a sentiment.
~
For my background, I simply misted my card base, made of Mixed Media paper, with water and swiped my Spun Sugar Distress ink pad over it lightly.
My flower and leaves were stamped on some of the same paper using Versamark ink, and then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder and my Ranger Heat tool.
I smooshed my 3 pink inks onto my craft sheet and used a water brush to paint the flower. I did the same with the Bundled Sage ink and the leaves, then I cut them all out and adhered them to the card front. The flower is popped up on foam mounting tape.
The sentiment was stamped with Versafine ink and I added some button twine behind the flower.
Besides our Color Throwdown challenge, I'm entering this card into these challenges as well:
