~
Hello, eP fans! It's time for this month's ePlay Challenge! This month Sherry is our hostess and she wants us to play with some WOOD!
~
I'm keeping it simple this month. I decided to play with some Dylusions ink sprays and Mixed Media paper, and then add some Balsa wood to the mix.
~
I sprayed my paper with some Bubblegum Pink, Vibrant Turquoise, and Pure Sunshine inks, then spritzed with some water and spread the colors a little using a paint brush. Then after it was dried, I spritzed it again to get the splotchy water drop effect.
~
I cut the piece of paper in half in order to use it for 2 separate cards.
Next I sprayed some White Linen ink spray on my craft sheet and used a large sponge dauber to apply some of it through stencils to one of my colored papers. It's almost a bleached effect, don't you think?
~
This piece became my "Happy" card. The "Happy" and the circle are both pieces of thin Balsa wood that I die cut. I sprayed the circle with some Bubblegum Pink, taped it to the colored paper, then added the "Happy" with some foam mounting tape. I also tied some twine around the card front.
~
The next card is a little more artsy! I used the same White Linen ink spray applied with a dauber through the Chit Chat stencil. Then I used some Black Marble ink spray and applied it with a dauber through my Mini Four Faces stencil.
The "funky" and "unique" were stenciled using the Funky Words stencil and I added the "You!" with my black Stabilo pencil. And yes, it's definitely a magic pencil! You can see that I used it and the white Stabilo pencil to doodle and highlight everything on this card!
~
Both of the circles are pieces of Balsa that I sprayed with the Dylusions ink sprays. I also added a few sequins and called it done!
So that's it for my contribution to the WOOD challenge. Won't you play along with us? You can get all the details at the eclectic Paperie blog. And you've got all month to get inky, then link up your creation over there!

LOVE BOTH! The first is definitely Happy with the Fab BG AND the wood word! Really LOVE the artsy feel to the second and how you added the white that looks like bleach! Great cards, Broni!

Broni, absolutely love how you incorporate mixed media into your cards. The colors of your background panel are awesome and yes, love that "bleached" look. Both cards are absolutely gorgeous.
