Hi, all!
I thought I'd pop in and share a couple of sympathy cards that I needed for this week. One is for my dear niece who lost someone very near to her heart this last week. The other is for an older gentleman who lost his wife to Alzheimer's disease also this week.
I wanted the cards to convey my sympathy but I also wanted them to be a little brighter and happier than usual, to help to bring them comfort and a reminder that Spring always brings renewed life and hope.

For this card, I used a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats Rectangle die to cut a piece of white cardstock, then airbrushed it using my Hexagons stencil and my R43, YR04, and Y35 Copic markers. I also airbrushed a couple of banner strips for the sentiment. I cut the vellum hearts using the Stitched Hearts dies. I finished by adding some enamel dots.
The masculine version is very similar.

For this one, I cut a white cardstock panel using a PTI Tipped Tops die. Then I airbrushed it using a cardstock stencil, cut with the Quatrefoil cover plate, and my BG53 and YG03 Copic markers. I also made banner strips for the sentiment and then looped some Ocean twine 3 times and topped it with an enamel dot. The vellum for this one was cut using a foliage die.
That's it for me today. Thank you so much for dropping in to take a look.
I think they will both enjoy these cards even though they are for sad occasions. They are beautiful

Love these, Broni. The colors, while not traditional, are still very soft. And the use of vellum here is brilliant!

LOVE the vellum hearts!!! No, nise, you do not need anymore heart dies or stamps or heart anything. no, no, no! Your cards do offer a nice sense of brighter days to come. Wishing you a good week and a Happy Spring -- only 3 more days!
