Well, folks, it's time for the latest Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. And I'm sad to say this will be my last as a member of the Friends of Flourishes team. I've decided to step down in order to have a little more time to spend in my personal life. I'm definitely sad, but oh-so grateful to have had this time with this awesome company and this incredible team!
So our challenge this week is brought to us by Katie! She's asked us to create using either plaid or houndstooth:

I cut my image from Ivory cardstock using my Silhouette and the Star of Bethlehem cut file. Then I stamped my image from the Star of Bethlehem stamp set twice: once in red onto the circle, and then in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the floral cut.
I colored my image using Copic markers.

I decide to run a piece of Ivory cardstock through the Big Shot using the Plaid embossing folder. Before I inserted the cardstock, I painted the raised side of the folder with some Evergreen Bough Distress Paint. Then when I removed the panel from the folder, I rubbed my Barn Door Distress ink pad over it, creating my Christmas plaid!
My card base is also Ivory cardstock and I added a layer from the Poppy paper collection. I also cut some Poppy paper using my Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die. Each layer is adhered using foam mounting tape, and I tied it all up using some Basque seam binding and then added a couple of decorative pins.
I hope you'll check out what the rest of the design team has created for your viewing pleasure and inspiration! And I hope you'll play along in the challenge with us!
