Hello, everyone! It's time for our latest edition of the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge!
~
Cheryl is our hostess this week and her challenge is:
~
LET IT SHINE! Incorporate a light source in your card: a candle, lamp, lighthouse, the sun---anything, as long as you "Let It Shine!"
~
This was indeed a fun challenge. And I knew just what I wanted to do! I couldn't wait to break out the new Snow Scenes stamp set and give it a whirl. It's just perfect for a night time, moonlit scene! Obviously, my moon is my light source!
~
I created my moon using a die cut copy paper circle and several colors of inks, including Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire. I also used just a touch of Fired Brick. Then I used a curve cut from copy paper to add some more Chipped Sapphire for the rolling hills. All the images were also stamped with Chipped Sapphire.
I stamped my sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with white powder. I didn't try to remove any excess powder that stuck to the sky. I thought it looked a little magical!
I added Star Dust Stickles around the moon's edge and some silver string around the bottom of the scene, incorporating a little jingle bell for a touch of whimsy!
I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge! Be sure to stop by and visit with the rest of the Timeless Tuesday designers!

Thanks so much for dropping in! Have a great week!
OMGosh, Broni, this is stunning! Your moon really looks like it is glowing! Love the scene you created in all the different shades of blue, and you're right...the excess embossing powder does look magical!

This is so lovely. I had considered a moon, and then switched, but it would not have been as lovely as this nighttime beauty! So pretty and serene and quiet.
