Sketchpad Feather Two

It seems I just can't stop playing with these unbelievable feathers from A Day For Daisies!  They're awesome and they're part of the August 2013 Club Kit! 

We're starting a new challenge at the ADFD blog too.  Appropriately the challenge is to use ANIMAL PRINTS!

Wednesday I used Sketchpad Feather Five for my Color Throwdown card HERE.  Today I'm using Sketchpad Feather Two.

The only thing I had in my stash that even resembled animal print was a cell phone case sticker that kind of looks like reptile skin.  So I used that as one of my layers!  And that dictated the color theme of my card too.  The original image is of two feathers, but I printed my image twice and cut out the top feather to pop up on top.  They're all colored with Copic markers, of course!

The cute little sentiment is from a WPlus9 Studio stamp set called Quite Like You.  Don't you love it?

This is really cool! Your "animal print" is neat-o! Wonderful colors (I had no idea mauve-y pink looks great with orange!?!) and sentiment. I can see why you like the feathers. I will also tell you I didn't see anything but Indian Corn when I first glanced at this and that brings back memories of life long ago. Thanks and Happy Weekend!

Wow! Those colors just POP against the background! Great color combo. And a brilliant idea to use the cell phone sticker. Is that what you bought it for, or was it just a brilliant flash of inspiration?
