Hi, all you Flourishes fans! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We finally had a weekend that wasn't full of rain and for that, I'm grateful!
It's time for our latest edition of the Timeless Tuesday challenge!
~
Deborah is our hostess this week and here's her challenge:
~
In Distress - Add a distressed look to your card or project.
~
This is always a fun technique to use! You can actually be a little messy on purpose!
I'm using one of the fabulous new August sets today - Chrysanthemum. What gorgeous images and beautiful sentiments to use along with the Mums!
I used my Silhouette to cut the single mum from Flourishes Classic White cardstock and then stamped it with Memento Gray Flannel ink. Then I colored it using the Poppy Copic collection along with the R01 and R02 markers as well.
~
The white background layer and the Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames die cut were both spritzed with a mixture of crisp cantalope reinker and water. I stitched two of the layers together, and distressed the edges of the top stitched layer and the white spritzed layer. I also sponged some of the gray along the edges of the white layer.
I stamped the sentiment in Gray Flannel ink onto one of the flags and added a pearl self-adhesive border to the other.
I've used the Dynamic Duos #67 color combo, and the Cardabilities #81 sketch today:
~

Beautiful card. Love the image and the color choice. Those little pearls in a couple of rows is a fun touch. I'll have to remember that.

I love the "clean" distressed look you've got going on here! My cards are always so dark...I need to give this look a try. Beautiful coloring on the chrysanthemum, and the soft, spritzed bg is a lovely backdrop for it. Oh, and the loose thread ends are so subtle, I almost missed them--fantastic!

Oh this is just beautiful and so unique. You've captured the sketch nicely.
Thank you for joining the Cardabilities Sketch challenge.
