Hello, everyone! It's time for our latest Timeless Tuesday challenge and today Judy is our hostess!

Judy's asking us to:
~
USE DOILIES
~
I think this is a great challenge! I never thought I'd make a masculine card using a doily, yet that's just what I did. I really wanted to use the new Mountain View stamp set!
I started with a piece of multi-media paper that I had already started for another project but then abandoned. Mostly it was spritzed with some Dylusions Melted Chocolate ink spray. I stamped my elk image directly onto the inked paper, then just colored the sky with the Spruce Copic collection.
~
I stamped the elk again onto some Classic Ivory cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink, and colored it using the Rich Brown Copic collection. Then I cut it out and adhered it with foam mounting tape.
I used my ink blending tool to apply some Walnut Stain Distress ink to my paper doily and then layered it with my image and some Emerald Coast and Rich Brown papers. The sentiment was also stamped using Rich Cocoa ink.
My layout is from the Deconstructed Sketch #114:
~
Now it's your turn! Let's see what you can do with doilies! Also please be sure to visit with each of the Timeless Tuesday gals to see their fabulous creations!

Thanks for dropping in!
On a personal note….obviously I survived my zip-line adventure. After 5 zip-lines, 2 rope bridges (I believe that just tying some ropes together doesn't really make it a bridge, folks!), and a rappel in almost total darkness (we had helmet lights), I'm a little sore. But it was so worth it! What an adventure!
This is the best one I've seen yet! Great coloring!

Beautiful, Broni ! The colors are beautiful and I do like that contrast of the delicate doily and the nature scene. Your abandoned piece worked beautifully here.

Love this color combo, Broni! It is very masculine, but not at all severe. Your background is gorgeous! Did you sketch in the mountain range? Very painterly! And, the doily works! Who'd a thunk it? xoxo

So glad you survived to stamp another day! I cannot believe that a DOILY can work on a man's card, but you got it on there and it looks fabulous. Like that your "abandoned" piece is one of the stars of this show. Your elk is wonderfully colored. But I especially like that brown ribbon. It looks fabulous on your man card, too. frou-frou x 2 and it still looks manly! Great job!

Amazing how well your abandoned project worked for this! It is beautiful! And, then you went and made a doily AND a bow look good on a masculine card!!! I really like that you didn't mat the elk image--adds to the masculinity and looks like a photo would. Congrats on making it through the zip-line adventure! You're so much braver than I ever would be!!! :)
