WHAT? Yes, we're talking Christmas here today!
It's time for the latest Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge and Katie is our hostess this week!
~
Here's her challenge to all of us:
Christmas in July - Let's get a head start on our Christmas cards...but there's a catch...your card needs to be semi flat for mailing, so no big bows or lumpy, bumpy envelopes here!
I had to dig my Christmas stamp sets out of the craft closet, and right away the Naturally Merry stamp set called out to me! I adore the beautiful simplicity of the images and the gorgeous fonts of the sentiments!
~
I stamped my pinecone image onto some Mixed Media paper in Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then I "smooshed" my ink pad onto my craft sheet to use the ink to watercolor the pinecone. I also smooshed my Memento Pistachio ink to use for the pine needles. Then I fussy cut the image.
I stamped the "May your days be" in Rich Cocoa and the "Merry and Bright" in Versamark then embossed it in red.
I outlined the top layer in brown ink and distressed the edges. The red layer is from the Poppy Collection.
To make my card "semi-flat" I only added some ivory jute and a few rhinestones. The pinecone image is up on some foam mounting tape.

Wow, Broni! That pine cone looks amazing! I love it against the stark white and bright red, and the natural colored twine with it is perfect! Beautiful!!!
