Hey there, y'all! It's Friday again! Hip, hip, hooray!!
We're showing off a new release from A Day For Daisies today! It's all about Mechanical Dolls and Mermaids. Pretty cool!
Did you see my Monochromatic journal page from yesterday? It's the background for my Mechanical Mermaid today.
~
I printed her, her dress, and her wings onto some white cardstock, then colored them all with my Copic markers. I attached her tail, and her arms using 6 mm jump rings and also added a chain of jump rings to her head in order to hang her from the binder clip at the top of my journal page. The chain is attached to the binder clip with a lobster clasp.
She has some Viva Décor Glitter Liner dotted on her dress and her wings, and I also put a tiny bit of Star Dust Stickles in her hair.
If you look closely you can see some word stickers that I used around the edges: "Beautiful", "fun" and "Enchant". I thought these worked so well with her.

I am absolutely smitten with these mechanical dolls and mermaids. You have done a fabulous job colouring her and joining her with jump rings. She looks fabulous on that beautiful background. I love the pop of her pink dress against the soft colours of the layers. With so much depth in the background, it looks like water and becomes the perfect home for her.
