Hey, everyone!

It's my week to host the Color Throwdown challenge and I've chosen some beautifully bright and vivid colors, based on a photo of some gorgeous flowers.

What do you think?  Great combo, huh?

I've had this fascination for die cut feathers lately, but have no feather dies of my own.  So I decided to play around with my Silhouette and came across this awesome feather cut file.  Love it!  I used it to cut a feather in each of this week's colors.

My card is very CAS, using the feathers, a Polka Dots embossing folder, some Twinery twine and a fabulous sentiment from the new Our Craft Lounge set, Everyday Sentiments.

FTTC190 - Fresh Baked!

Hi, everyone!   I'm super excited to be hosting this week's Timeless Tuesday challenge .  This is also Day 2 of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for October and today the entire Timeless Tuesday team is joining in to help introduce the brand new release "Fresh Baked".

This week's challenge is TREATS!  I'm asking that you make a card or project using something yummy as your focal image!

Here's my card:

I chose to use the delicious looking pie image.  I stamped it in Memento tuxedo black ink onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock, and colored it up with my Copic markers.  I also sponged around some of the edges using Frayed Burlap Distress ink and an ink blending tool.  I added a little texture by tying some Kraft Jute around the layers.

Doesn't it look yummy?!  I made my pie cherry and used some basic country colors to compliment it.

I spritzed some white cardstock with 4 different Dylusions ink sprays.  Along the right side I also used the Dylusions Dotted Flowers stencil.  What fun!  And how messy!!  My fingers are still pink and blue!!

The cool woodgrain stamp and the small flower and the sentiment are all from the Woodgrain Silhouettes stamp set from WPlus9.  I also spritzed the seam binding with some of the Bubblegum Pink ink spray.  Groovy, huh?

Enjoy Your Day - Color Throwdown #212

Hi, y'all!

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your week so far!

Today's Wednesday and that means it's time for the newest Color Throwdown challenge!  Barbara is our hostess this week.  She chose some cool patterned paper as her inspiration.  Check it out:

My card today is also for the Our Craft Lounge challenge OCL136 - Buttons & Bows.

~

~

I chose to go really simple and let my patterned paper do most of the work.  It just so happened that this Webster's Pages 6x6 paper had all the right colors, and I really loved the street sign pointing the way to Happiness and Adventures!

~

I stamped the sentiment from the Big Birthday Wishes stamp set from Our Craft Lounge onto some of the patterned paper and popped it up on Scotch foam mounting tape.  Then I tied on the ribbon and attached the bow and twine.  Easy peasy!

FTTC#189 - Think Pink!

Hello, everybody, and happy Tuesday to you!

This week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge is hosted by Denise and is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  We're to use any stamp set and the color pink.

I made a somewhat different choice than you would expect in stamp sets.  I chose to use my Country Road stamp set today.  I LOVE the sentiment I've used and think it's perfect to honor and celebrate all the survivors out there.  And why shouldn't a weathervane be pink??

I used large scalloped circle dies to cut out my card base, white layer, and panel of Basic Grey manila 6x6 paper, and sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress ink and an ink blending tool. 

I stamped the weathervane in pink ink onto Flourishes Classic white cardstock and fussy cut it.  It's popped up on foam tape.

Then I added both ribbons and some vintage lace.  The button is vintage also and is tied with some Ivory Jute.  As always, my ribbons and button are attached with Scor-Tape.
