Hello, everyone, and a Happy Tuesday to you!

It's Ally's turn to host the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week and she has an awesome sketch for us to try!

Isn't that great?  I decided to flip the sketch on it's side for my card.

I've been itching to try out the new Peace and Joy stamp set from Flourishes.  How beautiful it is, and how much fun it was to color!

The image was stamped on Flourishes Classic White cardstock with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with these Copic Collections:

Courteous Flower Fairy

Happy Friday!!

It's time for a new project from me featuring an image from A Day For Daisies!  This image is right up my alley….I LOVE fairies!  It's called Courteous Flower Fairy and it's from the new September Club Kit!  What a wonderful collection of images!!

We're also starting a new challenge today - #53 "Tag, You're It!"  All you have to do is use a tag for, or on, your project.  Easy peasy!

So today I created a tag featuring my little fairy.  The tag was actually from another project HERE.  I was testing a technique out using my Ranger Distress inks and my Copic airbrush system.   I saved this particular tag and when I saw this little flower fairy I knew I'd found the right image to pair it with.

I colored her using my Copic markers and cut her out.  She's mounted on Scotch foam tape, backed by a paper doily and surrounded by bling!  Her wings are coated with Star Dust Stickles and the tag is topped with some beautiful velvet trim and another larger rhinestone.

My granddaughter, Molly, started her very first ballet lessons yesterday (following in her Mom's footsteps), and this little darling reminded me of her.  So I think she'll be the recipient!

Shades of Fall - Color Throwdown #209

Can it really be Fall already??  I'm just NOT ready!!  But just in case I have to give up the idea of extending the summer months….I've used an Our Craft Lounge stamp set called Shades of Fall for my card today.  This week's color combo from Lynn just SCREAMS Fall!

~

~

I spread several different colors of Distress inks from eclectic Paperie on my craft sheet, spritzed with some water, and laid my Sticky-Back Canvas ATC and my Maya Road Mini Canvas Tag onto it, then dried them with my heat gun.

~

~

I used a Spellbinders die to emboss the kraft card base.  My Shades of Fall image was stamped on a Manila ATC, colored with Distress inks, then cut out and popped up on Scotch foam tape.  I tied a May Arts ribbon around the card front, then attached the canvas tag using a piece of Twinery Cappucino twine.

FTTC186 Pinterest Christmas & a New Release!

Hello!  It's time for a new Timeless Tuesday challenge at the Flourishes blog and today we're joining with the Senior DT to introduce you to the 2nd in this week's 5 NEW Flourishes Christmas releases! 

Yesterday they introduced the Trimmed With Love set featuring a gorgeous traditional Christmas tree with all the trimmings.  Today we're using the truly classic & beautiful Poinsettia and Pine.

Our challenge today - FTTC186 - is to use a Christmas photo from Pinterest as our inspiration.  As I browsed through my Christmas Ideas board on Pinterest, I noticed that most of the photos I had pinned were of simple, nature-inspired settings and decorations.  This is the photo I chose as my inspiration today.~

See the simple, traditional, and natural elements with just a touch of sparkle?  That's how I decided to make my card today using the new Poinsettia and Pine stamp set.

~

~

I stamped my image on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and then colored it with my Copic markers.  I stamped a second set of the top leaves as well, colored them and popped them up on foam tape, and added a tiny bit of sparkle to the center of the poinsettia.

~

~

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Pistachio ink.  I added a piece of textured patterned paper, and an embossed kraft panel by stitching it to the ivory base panel.

School Notes - Color Throwdown #185

Hello, everyone!  It's time for this week's Color Throwdown challenge!

Denise is our host this week and this is the fun color combo she's chosen for us to play with:

I'm playing along with the current Our Craft Lounge challenge OCL132  (Back to School) and the latest CPS281 sketch as well:

~

      

~

I chose to use the Our Craft Lounge set called School Notes, which of course is just perfect for the Back to School theme.  I used my new WPlus9 Pinking Squares die to cut the patterned paper for the panel behind the cute book bag.  The twine is tied through the eyelet of the  Mini Tag Canvas Piece which was painted with a juniper paint dabber.

FTTC185 - My Friend

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I hope you had a fabulous Labor Day holiday and that you were able to enjoy a long weekend!

I'm very excited to be hosting my first Timeless Tuesday challenge!  Today my challenge is to create a mini card!  Just make a smaller version , no larger than 4" x 3", of what you would normally make.

For my card I used the Orchids stamp set, and my sentiment on the Maya Road Vintage Kraft Flag Pin is from the Passion Flower stamp set.  I embossed the front of my card base and rubbed over the raised portion with Ranger Frayed Burlap ink using an ink blending tool.  I also created a background and border from a few die cuts and added some Ivory Jute, tied into a bow. I colored my image with Copic markers, cut it out, and mounted it with some foam tape.
