Hi, y'all!  I hope you're having a great week so far!

I took my newest little foster baby in to see the vet to check on his little broken leg ……  He seems to be doing well and will soon be on his way to his forever home!

I chose to use one of my new release sets, Happy Camper from Our Craft Lounge, again.  Doesn't everyone have a purple tent?  No?  Well, I bet you've always wanted one!

~

I made my puffs of smoke by using a Copic blender pen to "erase" some of the sky color, and I traced very lightly along the bottom of each puff with a pencil to give it a little more dimension.  And yes, that's a toothpick holding up my "Explore" banner!

It's time for a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!   This week is FTTC182 and Cindy H. is our hostess.  She's asked us to "use kraft" in our creations.  That's easy, because I love to use kraft!

I couldn't wait to use the new release set called Country Roads.  This is right up my alley!  Country music is my favorite type and these images make me think of Brooks & Dunn's Red Dirt Road.  In what other genre of music will you hear them say "That's where I drank my first beer; that's where I found Jesus."?

No Distance Too Far

Hi, y'all!

I'm back today with another creation featuring a new release, Miles To Go, from Our Craft Lounge, and some May Arts ribbon.

I kept my card simple, using only one of the sentiments from the set.  I used a negative die cut piece as the top layer of the card, taping some of the teal striped May Arts ribbon behind the die cuts.

I also used a negative die cut of a inverted scallop circle to use as a mask to airbrush a sun-like image onto my card front and the sentiment flag.

The sand is airbrushed as well and over-stamped with the sand image from the Hangin' Loose with Kona stamp set.

Miss You Like Crazy - Color Throwdown #204

Yay!  It's my week to host the Color Throwdown challenge!  For my inspiration, I chose this awesome tank top from Anthropologie.   I love the beautiful patterns and textures as well as the color mix!

I'm using one of the brand new releases from Our Craft Lounge - Everyday Sentiments.  The OCL DT is teaming up with May Arts this week.  That's why there's also a lot of textural goodness on my card today!  Check out who's showing their creations by visiting the OCL blog!

Along with drawing inspiration from the colors, I also used the color gradation, the multiple patterns and the lacy texture in my creation.  Don't you love those adorable mini pom-poms?

Out Together

Today I'd like to share with you a card that I made using the Out Together image from the Together  release from A Day For Daisies.  This image really tugged at my heart strings when I first saw it.  I like to imagine that it's my Mom and Dad.  You see, we lost my Dad 16 years ago, so they never had the chance to grow really old together.

And this week is the start of Challenge #50 at the ADFD blog - Use Fabric or Fibers.  I hope you can see that I used linen for the lady's suit and the gentleman's slacks.  It's from s.e.i and I've had it forever.  It came in 6x6 sheets with backing, but I can't locate it on the s.e.i. website.  It worked just perfectly for this card.  And the vintage lace is from my Mom's stash.  She was quite the seamstress!

For today’s card, I broke out another new Our Craft Lounge stamp set called Happy Camper! How sweet is this adorable little camper?!

~

After I colored the camper with Copic markers, I cut it out and popped it up on foam mounting tape. The little yellow fabric-covered button is from my vintage stash.
