Hi everyone!
After being on vacation last week (it was wonderful and relaxing, by the way), I really missed coloring the A Day For Daisies images. This week I'm really excited that I got to choose an adorable little girl holding a HUGE cotton candy!!
~
I missed the first week of this month's challenge "Anything but a Card", so I decided to play along this week!
I've been wanting to do another page in my art journal so I pulled it out and started applying some of my paper tape (from the Target office supplies section) to a blank page. When it was done, I decided that maybe the color of the tape was too bold for the sweet little image that I was using, so I painted over the entire page with a watered-down mixture of gesso, using a foam paint brush.
While that was still wet, I stamped on the page with the larger chevron stamp from the Every Heartbeat stamp set from Our Craft Lounge. I used it dry (no ink) and it took some of the gesso mixture off the page. It's a very subtle effect. Then I applied a strip of the teal colored tape in a ruffle across the page, and used the Wonderful Words die and stamp set for a caption.

My little sweetie's cotton candy is partially coated with some Daiquiri Ice Sparkly Fluff and she has Twinery bows in her ponytails!

There's still time to play along in the Anything but a Card challenge at the ADFD blog and Tammy Thompson has even generously provided an image for you to use!
