Good Wednesday to you all!  Are you ready for a new Color Throwdown challenge?  It's a great color combo this week, brought to us by our super talented Lori!

I was really sad to have Julia Aston leave as our guest designer for April.  She added some amazing designs to our weekly lineup. 

But let me tell you, we've got a super star for you this month!  The one and only Queen of Scene…..Kittie Caracciolo!  Woo hoo!  I adore Kittie!  And I can't wait to see what she'll create for us this month!

I decided to print one of my Wax Fruit Company digi images to color up and couldn't choose between one of the Playground series images and this Waterlilies image.   In the end I thought the flower was just perfect to use with these colors!  I kept the card kind of simple to show off the beautiful image.

I Made You a Kite...

What a sweet and encouraging quote!  And Arielle (Wax Fruit Company) has drawn the sweetest image to compliment it perfectly!  In fact all of the Playground Series images are wonderful!  Yes, I just had to buy them all!!

I decided to overlay the sentiment onto the image for this card.  It's actually a birthday card for a friend, but I felt like an encouraging word is always a good thing, no matter what the occasion!

The clouds and the kite were colored a second time, cut out and popped up for more dimension.

Another birthday!

Today's my birthday!  And I'm so glad I've made it this far.  I still can't believe I'm so old!!  ;<]

This card was for a friend whose birthday was last Friday.  I know.  Another beach card!  Sorry, I can't help it!  And besides, he loves the beach too!

Speaking of the beach, this fabulous image is from Wax Fruit Company.  So is the sentiment inside.  Love, love, love!!

I just got some new digi images from Wax Fruit Company and couldn't wait to start coloring them.  I just love Arielle's style!

I thought this beautiful waterlily image would work perfectly for an anniversary card that I needed.  And I added one of the fantastic sentiments from Kristin's Sentimental Occasions set.

So this is gonna be a very short post.  Lots to do this week.  I'll have my 4 year old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter all next weekend and I think they'll probably keep me very busy, so I'm trying to get a little ahead before then!

I didn't strictly stick with the colors, but I really NEEDED to add the orange and the touch of black for drama.  (And of course the kraft.)
