I decided to watercolor him using Ranger Distress inks instead of using my usual coloring method - Copics.  I also wanted a little more shading so I added some dots with a Pigma Micron pen.

Photos of the "Fan" stamped on white cardstock and then on watercolor paper and shaded with the pen:

It's simple to do, and you can add a little more depth to the photo without a lot of color shading, although I did that as well on this image.

I also used the SFYTT sketch for December.  (Great sketch, Jen!)

Hi, guys!

I'm back today with a second card using the SFYTT sketch for November.  I'm thrilled to have been asked by Jen to be this month's Guest Designer!  I hope you've been able to play along.  The sketch is simply awesome!

I used the To the Moon stamp set from this month's sponsor, Verve Stamps, again.  Love this sweet and versatile set!    And I thought the cute bear would be great for a baby boy card.

I made this card for a friend and coworker who will be having a son very soon.  I hope he and his sweet wife like it!

You Go Girl! Who's the SFYTT Guest Designer?

WHOOT!  WHOOT!!!  That would be ME!!

I was so honored and thrilled when my fellow DD alumni Jen del Muro, stamper extraordinaire, asked me to be the Guest Designer for her SFYTT November sketch challenge!  How cool is that?!

And to make it even better…..the sponsor this week is VERVE STAMPS!!  Be still my heart!  Julee is another designer that I SO admire!  And she designs some pretty awesome stamps too!

I love it, don't you?  I'm so thrilled to be presenting my card along with all the talented SFYTT Sisters; and the Verve Divas are playing too!!  Woo hoo!  Be sure to check on the i{heart}2stamp blog for the complete listing and for the rules.

Julee (Verve) will be offering a stamp set of choice to a participant who uses Verve  stamps on their creation!

For my card I chose to use the super-adorable To the Moon stamp set from Verve.  I am so in love with these adorable little animals and the endless possibilities of what can be created with so many great images and sentiments!

Today's card features a pretty little pink elephant surrounded by frills and bling!

This little sweetheart was colored with Copic markers and popped up inside a blinged scallop oval window. 

~

~

The solid cardstock panels were embossed with  the Tim Holtz Diamonds in the Rough Texture Fades folder, and I used Scor-Tape to create the scrunched ribbon.  The background patterned paper (in the oval window too) is from the Out of Print 6x6 Basic Grey paper pad.    I love how the Lil' Inker Designs sentiment flag looks all decked out in silver too!

How about another Halloween card using the A Little Witchy set from Our Craft Lounge!  I can't get enough of it!! 

I decided to play along with Jen's SFYTT for October.  It's definitely a great one!  And yeah, I'm cutting it a little close, huh, since this is almost the last day of the month?!

Yikes, tomorrow is Halloween, folks!  Time to dress up, walk from door to door (probably in a strange neighborhood), and beg for candy.  Sounds like fun!

Swept Up - Color Throwdown #158

Hey, everyone!

It's my week to host the Color Throwdown!  I have no idea what inspired me to choose this color combination but I really do like the way all the colors look together!

I've used my new Swept Up Crafty Cling Single stamp set from Our Craft Lounge to get a start on my Halloween cards for all the grandkids.  This is definitely an unusual Halloween color mix, but I think it works!

Fairytale Bookmark - Color Throwdown #154

Hello, everyone!  It's that time again….time for a new Color Throwdown challenge!  Tammy's our hostess again this week and her chosen color combo is just beautiful!

I needed a birthday card for a friend of mine who is an avid reader.  In fact, she always has a large bag of books for me to borrow whenever we get together!  What an angel she is!

I wanted to make her a bookmark to go along with her birthday card, so I used a piece of clear acrylic sewn across the bottom of the card to hold the bookmark.

~

~

Here's how the card looks when the bookmark is removed.  There's another message!
