FTTC225 - Happy Camper with Scallops

Happy Tuesday!  Are you ready for the start of a new Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge?  It's a fun one!

~

~

Denise is our lovely and super-talented hostess, and she's asking us to

USE SCALLOPS

Now that's pretty simple, right?  And I went with a clean and simple (CAS) card this week as well, using the new and super fun S'More Fun stamp set and Silhouette cut file from Flourishes.

~

~

My entire card is made using Flourishes Classic White cardstock.  My scallops and the small oval from the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals are die cut from it; the camper and banners were cut from it on my Silhouette using the Flourishes cut files; and my card base is the white also, which I airbrushed using my Copic B13 marker and a TCW stencil.

I stamped my images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Then I colored the banner flags and just the inside of the camper using these Copic collections:

Fawn in Moss

Yep.  I've got a little fawn standing in some moss to show you today, but first…..

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Are you thrilled it's the weekend (almost)??  I am!

For today's A Day For Daisies post, the design team is using the June 2013 Club Kit again!  So many wonderful nature images!  Today I chose to use a darling little fawn, who seems to be playing with a couple of birds!  He almost looks like the small doe that's been coming to my craft room window each evening.  That may be because I have a large bird feeder there and she's looking for food!

This week we're also starting a new challenge at the ADFD blog.  To go along with the great kit images, Arielle is asking us to use something from nature on our creations.  So here's my "Fawn in Moss" card:

Yes, I used real moss from my yard.  I meticulously trimmed each piece from the sod and placed it with tweezers on the card, using Ranger glossy accents to secure it.  It kind of makes the moss look wet.

You Make Me Happy - Color Throwdown #246

Hello again, y'all!  It's Wednesday and time for another Color Throwdown challenge!  Wanda is our hostess with the mostess this week and here are the awesome colors she chose for us to play with:

I decided to go Clean and Simple this week.  I just got my new Ray of Sunshine cutting plate from Taylored Expressions and HAD to use it, of course.  I used 1/2 of it for the top half of my card.  Both that panel and the bottom panel with the sentiment stamped in Seedless Preserves Distress ink  are popped up on foam mounting tape.  The Honeydew twine is tied between the 2 panels.  The patterned paper is from the old Basic Grey Lemonade collection.

For my "Open Sesame" creation I chose to create a classic Side Step card.  It was fun to make and this way I got to show off several of the images from the set.

I cut the images using my Silhouette and the cut file from Flourishes Classic White cardstock.  My card base is made from  Flourishes classic black cardstock.  All the images are stamped in Memento tuxedo black ink and the sentiment is stamped in Versafine onyx black ink.  These are the Copic collections that I used:

Soft Hen - June 2013 ADFD Club Kit

Yippee!  If you could see me now, you'd know I'm doing my little happy dance 'cause it's Friday!  I know.  You're glad you CAN'T see me now, right?

Well, it's also time to introduce the newest A Day For Daisies club kit for June 2013.  This one's all about Nature!    We have deer, birds, and chickens!  And today I'm using the Soft Hen.

She's colored with Copic markers, of course.  I didn't have twine the color that I wanted, so I just colored some Caribbean twine with a BG57 Copic.

Vintage Fairy Ring

Happy Friday, everyone!  I don't know about you but I'm SO glad it's Friday!  It's been a long week!

Today I'd like to show you a precious fairy from the latest A Day For Daisies release called Fairy Mushrooms.  All of these girls are adorable and the mushrooms are awesome!  You can see them all at the ADFD blog or at the A Day For Daisies shop. 

I just loved the expression on this little one's face so I just had to use this sentiment!  This card will definitely come in handy for one of my "older" friends' birthday.  It's sure to get a giggle!

Water Baby Nap journal page

Today's creation is doing double duty!  This is the newest release from A Day For Daisies - Water Babies.  Such a sweet mermaid mom cuddling her little baby.  This image is called Water Baby Nap.

I decided to color her up with my Copic markers and cut her out to use on my journal page that I made for this months eclectic Paperie eTeam Picks Challenge - Gel Medium.

I used my Studio Gel Medium mixed with a tiny bit of Studio gesso and some Studio yellow pastel paint to create a glaze for the base color of my journal page.  Then I spritzed the page lightly with Dylusions Fresh Lime, Vibrant Turquoise and White Linen ink spray.  Next I used an Adirondack acrylic paint dabber in gold to dab here and there and also to line around the edges.

I mixed some Studio 490 embossing paste with a little of the Fresh Lime ink spray and spread it onto the page using the my Mini Confetti stencil.

Finally I highlighted and shaded using a Micron pen and a watercolor marker.  I also used a Silhouette die cut LOVE flag and my Dylusions Letter Jumble Stencil with the marker to create the YOU.

FTTC#220 - Blue and Green

Hi everyone!  This week it's my turn to host the Timeless Tuesday challenge.  My challenge to you is to use the colors Blue and Green.  It's pretty simple…Whether you color your image blue and green or just use blue /green ribbon, it's up to you.

~

~

I used the beautiful new Old Tea Rose stamp set for my card.  It's stamped in Desert Sand Memento ink onto Flourishes Classic ivory cardstock. 

~

~

My card base is also ivory and I used mats from both the Pistachio and Emerald Coast paper collections.  I rolled back one of the corners and added some beautiful Teal Blue seam binding.  The sentiment is stamped in Rich Cocoa ink.

I colored the rose itself in neutrals and then colored the leaves in greens and the background in blues using these Copic collections:

We've made a few changes in our team since last week.  Our sweet teammate Cindy Haffner is sadly leaving us.  However, we are bringing 3 new members on board this week!  We're super excited to welcome them!!  Here's the new lineup:

With My Mother

This weekend is Mother's Day, so now is certainly a great time to use images from the newest A Day For Daisies club kit. The images are just breathtaking!

I chose to use With My Mother  this week.  It's such a sweet rendition of a mother and her young daughter. And if you look really closely, you can see all the tiny hearts drawn within each line.  That is just too clever and cool!

~

I printed the image onto some white cardstock and then cut the chevron pattern using my Silhouette.  It's the first time I've tried creating my own design and it was really fun to do!

I colored them up with my Copic markers, sponged the edges with some Distress Peacock Feathers ink, then tied on a sentiment banner with a button & Blossom twine.

For my card today, I chose to use the sweet  image that's shown in the sneak peek graphic.  I just love it!  I die cut a piece of Flourishes Classic White cardstock using the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Oval then stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

I colored her using these Copic collections:

The card base is Classic kraft and the patterned papers are matted on Classic black cardstock.  She's popped up on foam tape and framed using a Want 2 Scrap Nestabling Lacey Oval of black rhinestones.
