It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's time for a brand new A Day For Daisies Club Kit!  They're always amazing and this month is no different!  What could possibly be wrong with Wild Nymphs!!

~

~

I chose to play with the beautiful Wild Rose Nymph.  She's just precious.  At first the eyes scared me a little - they're so big!  But once I colored them up, I fell in love with her all over again!  You can see her and all the Wild Nymphs at the A Day For Daisies shop.

~ 

There's also a new challenge starting at the ADFD blog.  Add something LACEY!!

I added a paper doily and a lacey circle die cut.  The little tag behind the image is a #5 manila tag that I added color to using Distress inks and stains.  I really didn't want to cover up the pretty colors, so I stamped the sentiment (from Unity) on a strip of vellum.

It's Your Party - Color Throwdown #237

Hello, everyone!  It's time for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Tammy is our hostess and she's chosen a unique and beautiful color combo based on the Fancy Pants Trend Setter paper collection.

I love this combo!

I chose to use a cute new embellishment I picked up at a local craft store to create a masculine celebratory card.

Little Dancer Molly

Hello and happy Friday!!  Woo hoo!

I have a super cute and special to me image from A Day For Daisies to show you today.  It's FAVORITES week, so we could choose our favorite ADFD image to use! 

~

I chose Little Dancer Two for 2 reasons.  #1 reason:  just look at how adorable she is!!  #2 reason: My granddaughter Molly will be in her very first ballet "demonstration" in a couple of weeks so I wanted to make her a very special card to celebrate.

I used this week's MOJO#287 sketch and I'm playing along in the Paper Players #139 Tic Tac Toe challenge (I used ribbon, a tag, and pearls).

This week we're also starting a new challenge at the ADFD blog.  It's another FAVORITES - choose your favorite technique.  Um, I believe that would be coloring with Copic markers for me!!  We were to share our directions, so here are a couple of links to previous tutorials I've done:

Molly's start in ballet will be extra special for me.  I can remember when her Mom first started to take dance lessons.  I drove to ballet lessons, rehearsals, and performances for over 20 years!  And I'm still doing it because she still performs with a local ballet company on occasion.  It will be like going back in time and starting over ….in a very good way.

Bedhead Girls!!

Ha, ha!  Did that title get your attention?

I just love this new release from A Day For Daisies!  Tammy Thompson  has outdone herself yet again!  It's called Bedhead Girls and has such great images!

~

    

~

I chose to use the single  head shot of a beautiful Bedhead.  She looks like she should be saying "All right Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up!"  (Are any of you out there old enough to know what I'm talking about???)

~

~

I didn't think I wanted to tackle coloring all that hair, and really what better way to highlight it than to color all around it!!??  My colors are from the PPA Color Challenge #154 and I used the MOJO284 sketch:

I'm too late to enter the PPA Color Challenge but I just had to try out that color combo!

And I will use this image again and color the hair next time!

We also have a new release from Tammy T's sister Sami, called Rainy Days.  Just look at this adorable little girl with her sweet kitten.

Happy Friday!

It's time for the latest release from A Day For Daisies and you are SO going to love it!  I don't know anyone who doesn't love owls, do you?  Tammy Thompson has created the most adorable family of these creatures and you'll have a very hard time deciding which one you like best!

I chose to color up the beautifully drawn Owl Auntie.

Isn't she divine?  I just love the branch of hearts she's perched on too!

Now as if the owl family wasn't enough sweetness for one week, Tammy's sister Sami has  just release "Sami's Beautiful Things".  Oh my, how sweet these images are!

I wanted to work with Waiting.  I just love that this is a silhouette image.  It's almost like looking at an image through a window shade.

Thankful Flourishes - Color Throwdown #211

~

Hey, guys!  Are you ready for some …….Throwdown??  Surely you didn't think I was going to say football, did you? LOL!

This week Wanda is our hostess and she's chosen the most beautiful inspiration photo!

~

~

I was a little unsure of the color choices however.  That Summer Starfruit color really threw me off.  I still don't have a good grip on what exactly that color is.  But trudge on I did!!  I used a few different greenish, yellowish elements in hopes that Starfuit is at least sort of represented!

~

~

I used my Thankful Flourishes set from Our Craft Lounge.  That will always be one of my favorite floral sets!  The latest challenge at the OCL blog is OCL135 - Hexagons!  Love hexagons, so I'm playing along in that challenge too!

~

~

And my layout is the MOJO260 sketch, but my card isn't round or square.  Oops!

~

~

Lady~Hat~Bow

Can you see me doing the Friday happy dance?  Cause I am!!  I didn't think the weekend would ever get here!

Today I've got a card using the beautiful new release from A Day For Daisies called "My Hats".  I had to choose this lady with the LARGE bow on her hat!

I used the MOJO251 sketch and a vintage theme.

Here's my card:

The vintage lace is from my stash.  I died the seam binding using watered down Frayed Burlap distress ink.  I didn't know there was still a bit of Bermuda Bay ink from my Color Throwdown card on my craft sheet, so the seam binding turned out ivory with touches of blue-green.  I love it!

If you look very closely, you can see the image of the woman wearing a rather large hat on the beautiful patterned paper on the left side of the card.

Birthday Dress

Happy Friday!!  I'm SO glad the weekend is finally here!  I'm on vacation next week and I can't wait to hit that beach!!

Before that happens though I wanted to show you my card today featuring Child's Dress 11 from the  A Day For Daisies shop.  It's precious!

I just had to pair it with this week's MOJO247 sketch!  And I decided to use the round version this time.

~

~

I've found that the only problem with making a round card is that it keeps trying to roll away while I'm trying to photograph it!!  LOL!

So here's what I did to show off this sweet little ruffled frock~

I just love that sweet little wire hanger and the Fancy Pants paper too!

I just love how he looks with the Graphic 45 On The Boardwalk patterned paper!  And I just got the new Dylusions  Dotted Flowers stencil, so I had to use it!  I spritzed the spiral page with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sea Glass using the stencil!  Sparkly!  It matches the flowers that were highlighted with my Atyou Spica pen in Turquoise!  (You can kind of see it in the cropped photo at the top of the post.)

It's a Bunny Garden!

Hey there!  Are you ready to see another fabulous new release of images from A Day For Daisies?  I'm always so excited to show you the new ones!

This week we've got a collection called "Bunny Love" and the image I'm using is "Bunny Garden!"

How sweet is that?!

I wanted to use the MOJO235 sketch again too.  It's definitely a different one and gave me the opportunity to use my new Bitty Blossoms die set from Spellbinders for the little rolled flower.

~

~

I pulled out some REALLY OLD retired Basic Grey paper (Perhaps) and some cardstock to coordinate.  The eyelet lace is very old too and from my Mom's old sewing stash.

~

~
