Hello, everyone!  It's time for another edition of the Color Throwdown and Kristin's back!  YAY!  We've certainly missed her!

She's the hostess this week and has chosen an awesome color combo:

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors or even all of the colors in the combo if you decide to play along with us!

I chose to combine the CTD challenge with this week's CPS sketch CPS262.

The image I'm using today is Breeze in Spring from the April 2012 Club Kit from A Day for Daisies.  There are so many perfectly sweet images that it was hard for me to choose which one to use!  I colored her up with my Copic markers and added a little bit of Star Dust stickles around the image.

Blessing a Flower

I'm so excited to show you my card today!  This week's beautiful new release from A Day For Daisies is called Fairy Work Fairy Play  and all the images are so incredibly beautiful and sweet!

I was so inspired by the images that the first thing I did when I got home from my Intermediate Copic Certification class in Virginia was to sit down and practice on this Blessing a Flower image.  I'm really, really pleased with the results too!

Hi, everyone!  I hope your week has started off well.  I'm enjoying my extended weekend, so I'm a happy stamper!

I was browsing Pinterest this weekend and came across this great card which was pinned by the oh-so talented Debbie Corbari.  How cool is that?

Well I wanted to try it, and decided a much smaller version would be easier, perhaps.  It was fun and just perfect for use with my Lola Love stamp set from Our Craft Lounge!

I used Scor-Tape on a punched cardstock circle, and started in the center of it with my Maraschino twine.  Easy!

I also used this week's CPS251 sketch:

Happy Fall, Y'all - Color Throwdown #161

Well, I hate to admit it, but it's officially Fall, y'all.  Bummer.  Guess I'll have to pack up my bathing suits and beach chair until next…..April, maybe.  Here's my last weekend at the beach:

Perfect!  Sigh.  Ok, enough whining from me!  On to the Color Throwdown! 

This week Kristin is our hostess and she not only chose some beautiful Fall colors, she also was sweet enough to share some of her new Trendy Forest digi papers with us!  I love them!  Here's the combo:

So I pulled out my (also) new Simply Fall singles stamp set from Our Craft Lounge and what a perfect match these were to the Trendy Forest digi papers.

See?  A match made in digi heaven!!

This card using OCL stamps and digi patterned paper qualifies for the Our Craft Lounge blog challenge this week - OCL#84.

I also decided to use this week's CPS sketch 237.  It's really cool!

Underwater - CPS229

Hi, folks! 

I decided I wanted to play along with the CPS sketch 229 for this week.  It's seems like forever since I did that, and I always love Tami's sketches!

I also wanted to try something with my new Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze that I've had on my mind since the E-Team played around with the new TA products a couple of weeks ago.  HERE is my post from that blog hop.

I stamped my images and colored them as usual with my Copic markers.  Then I painted over the entire scene with the Island Spring Glimmer Glaze.

I think it turned out pretty neat.  Here's a closeup view:

The fish was stamped and colored a second time, cut out and popped up with foam tape.  You can really see the glimmer and shine in the cropped photo at the top of this post.

Not only am I using the Color Throwdown colors, I'm also using the CPS219 sketch and I'm playing along in the Our Craft Lounge challenge to use twine!   And here's my card using the Our Craft Lounge stamp set Swingin' By!

I chose to use my new Vintage Traveler set.  Man, is this ever gorgeous!  Do you recognize the piece of paper that the Eiffel Tower is stamped on?

It's  the packaging from Tim Holtz products!!  This one is from a metal Numerals set.  I loved the colors and the patterns so I saved it to use with just the right stamp.  The embossing folder is Gridlock and the strip of print is Tissue Tape (Symphony), also both from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology line.
