Hello, y’all! Happy Wednesday!
Isn’t it great?
I just love the bold graphic look of that notebook/planner and decided to use that look to create my card for today.
The blue background was created by pressing my Versamark ink pad through my Dot Fade stencil then clear embossing it. Next I sponged on some Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean distress inks to get the right mix of blue.
I used Dylusions ink sprays in Bubblegum Pink and a mixture of Cherry Pie and Pure Sunshine on a piece of Distress watercolor paper and added a misting of water to help them blend. I dried it with my heat tool and then die cut some of the wonderful Bold Blooms Matching and Bold Blossoms from the latest Essentials by Ellen release. I also cut the leaves and one of the flowers in white to add more pop. I stamped the sweet sentiment from the Fancy Thanks stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock which had been die cut using the SSS Stitched Slopes and Hills. The frame was also cut from the watercolored paper using the Lil’ Inker Stitched Rectangles die set.
I'm entering this card in the Paper Players PP236 Clean & Simple Floral challenge:
and it qualifies for the CASology Week 138 Blossom challenge:
And I'm also entering it into this month's Virginia's View Challenge #13 - All Things Embossed:
